Who isn't a fan of the Game of Thrones? We have gathered for you few very interesting facts about the Game Of Thrones that you would love to know while waiting for the last episode. As we do know the Game Of Thrones is a fictional drama series that was first aired in the year 2011 and it went onto become one of the most viewed television series. Though, it was criticised by few due to the violence and inappropriate content, it still broke the odds and went onto become an epic tv series.

1. Stephen Dillane who was cast for the role of Stannis Baratheon the master of ships actually hated being on the Game Of Thrones. Stephen was always confused about the craze around the series and he was very happy when his character came to an end. He always wondered why people liked Stannis Baratheon, who always used to burn people alive.

2. The amazing dare wolf named Zunni which was the pet of Sansa Stark in the tv series was adopted by Sophie Turner and it became a pet to Sophie in a real life also. Turner always wanted to have a dog since her childhood but due to the restrictions at her house, she never got that chance. She always spoke about her love for Zunni and when she got a chance to adopt it she made no mistake.

3.The most important characters Daenerys Targaryen and Catelyn Stark who were the queens of two biggest powerhouses in the Game Of Thrones were actually played by Tamzin Merchant and Jennifer Ehle. But did you know that just before the series was aired on the television, they were replaced by Emilia Clarke and Michelle Fairley.

4. Game Of Thrones was adapted from the novel A Song Of Ice And Fire written by George R. R. Martin, but most of the story that was in the novel was changed while filming it. Most of the characters that are killed in the tv series were still alive in the Georges novel. David Benioff and D. B. Weiss are the masterminds behind the creation of this epic tv series Game Of Thrones.

5. Peter Dinklage who played as Tyrion Lannister is mostly known for his sarcasm, wit and his intelligence, but you might be surprised with the fact that the Lannister was pranked by his creator while the shooting. Peter was told that the show has been cancelled permanently and it took about six hours for the Lannister to get to know that he was just being bullied by his co-workers.

6. Do you know that most of the shooting for the Game Of Thrones was done at actual locations. The scenes set on North of the Wall and Winterfell were mostly filmed in the North Ireland and Scotland. While the King’s Landing and the Red Keep were filmed using the Walls of Dubrovnik and Fort of Lovrijenac. But most of the 7th season that is yet to release is being filmed in Spain where the 5th and the 4th seasons were shot.

7. Game Of Thrones has broken a lot of records. It's the only television series that has an enormous cast and not only that it is the only television series that had more than four directors, directing back to back until they finish ten episodes for each season. While filming the 3rd season about 257 different cast names were created.

8. Game Of Thrones has not only been the most famous and popular television series, but it has also inspired a lot of people during these past six years. There are people who have started naming their children on the famous character names after watching this masterpiece. Among these character names the most popular name is Khaleesi mostly referred as The Mother Of Dragons.

9. The hilarious scene ever happened to one of the actors Sean Bean who played the character of Eddard Ned Stark popularly known as the Lord Of Winterfell. He had actually played football with the replica of his head. This happened while shooting the scene where Ned Stark’s head is beheaded for treason.

10. Though Game Of Thrones has made a lot of commercial success it was still affected badly.Do you want to know why? According to a recent survey, the Game Of Thrones has been the most pirated television series in the years 2012, 2013,2014 and 2015. Not to forget it was the worst in 2015 when the piracy count increased to double that of the previous years.
