8 Bollywood actresses who are highly intelligent!
When we think about celebrities, Bollywood or any other film industry, the last thing that comes to mind is education. These celebs’ lifestyle is always associated with a lavish and glamorous lifestyle, partying, money and a high social status. But what most people, including us, don’t know is that behind all that acting and movies, they are highly intelligent and educated!
Check out some of the Bollywood actresses below who are smarter than we think!
1. Soha Ali Khan
The new mother and the sister of Saif Ali Khan comes from a Royal family. But that definitely didn’t stop her from achieving her dreams and get a high-level education. She studied at The British School in New Delhi and did her higher studies in Geography at Oxford University. She also did her Master’s in International Relations from The London School of Economics and Political Science.

2. Parineeti Chopra
The cousin of actress Priyanka Chopra, Chopra initially aspired to pursue a career in investment banking, but after obtaining a triple honors degree in business, finance, and economics from Manchester Business School, she returned to India during the 2009 economic recession and joined Yash Raj Films as a public relations consultant. Later, she signed a deal with the company as an actress.
3. Vidya Balan
From a young age, she aspired to a career in film and was inspired by the work of actors Shabana Azmi and Madhuri Dixit. At the age of 16, she starred in the first season of Ekta Kapoor's sitcom Hum Paanch. Following the success of the show, Vidya refused director Anurag Basu's offer to star in a television soap opera and instead attended St. Xavier's College to pursue a bachelor's degree in sociology and later earned a master's degree from the University of Mumbai.
The next actress could very well be a criminal psychologist!
4. Preity Zinta
The actress with the dimpled smile and bubbly personality is known for her roles in Kal ho Na ho (2003), Koi...Mil Gaya (2003) and Veer-Zaara (2004) which all became top-grossing movies. Her education was given importance too. The actress has an honor’s bachelor’s degree in English from St. Bede’s College, Shimla. She even started her graduate studies in Psychology before she decided to get her Master’s degree in Criminal Psychology.
5. Ameesha Patel
She studied at the Cathedral and John Connon School in Mumbai and was the head girl for the academic year 1992–93 before heading overseas to study Bio-genetic engineering, for two years, and eventually switching to Economics at Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts. She graduated with a gold medal. Patel's career began as an economic analyst at Khandwala Securities Limited after graduation. Later on, she received an offer from Morgan Stanley but turned it down. After returning to India, she joined Satyadev Dubey's theatre group.

6. Genelia D'Souza
Genelia D'Souza, the actress, and model began her acting career with the box-office hit Tujhe Meri Kasam in 2003. Genelia studied at the Apostolic Carmel High School in Bandra and later joined St. Andrew's College in Bandra to pursue her bachelor's degree in Management Studies. She completed her degree while shooting Tujhe Meri Kasam and initially thought that an MNC job would suit her. She was also a state level athlete, sprinter, and a national level football player.
7. Richa Chadda
Richa Chadda comes from an educated family. Her father owns a management firm and her mother is a professor at PGDAV College of Delhi University, who has authored two books and also works with Gandhi Smriti. So it only makes sense that she is too! She completed her schooling from Sardar Patel Vidyalaya in 2002, has a Bachelor’s degree from Stephen’s College and she took a PG Diploma in Social Communication Media from Sophia College, Mumbai.

8. Kareena Kapoor Khan
Kapoor attended Jamnabai Narsee School in Mumbai, followed by Welham Girls' School in Dehradun. She wasn't inclined towards academics but received good grades in almost all her classes. She also did a short course in Microcomputers at Harvard and then later enrolled at the Government Law College, Mumbai. After pursuing her interest in acting, she went for training in acting to FTII and got mentored by Kishore Namit.
Beauty with brains! To be honest, if these celebrities were ordinary people just like us, they would be pretty successful at their normal jobs, don’t you think?
