When he was asked on Koffee With Karan about arranged marriage he said: “I am a big supporter of arranged marriages. It's simple, really. You start with zero expectations and once you hit it off, every day is better than the previous one and all the highs come in the course of the marriage. In romantic relationships, you reach the peak of your romance before marriage. And then you are left thinking, where all the love went and why everything has become so mundane. So I feel the graph in an arranged marriage is better in the long term."
During a recent interview after the birth of their beautiful daughter, he talked about how they first met and how he fell head over heels for her! “I'm still falling in love with her... a bit more every day. The first time we met, we spoke for seven hours. We were at a friend's farmhouse in Delhi. We went for a walk outside and the sun was setting behind her. I realized her eyes were not dark. They had a hazel tinge. That moment, I felt shayad main iss ladki se shaadi kar sakta hoon. But I also told myself, "What are you thinking? Bees saal ki hai besharam!"

Vivek Oberoi's arranged marriage story is just as romantic and beautiful as Shahid Kapoor’s story. After the problems that happened while he was dating Aishwarya Rai and the threats he received from Salman Khan, in 2010 he found the love of his life through arranged marriage. In 2010, he got married to Priyanka Alva. Even before he had mentioned that he was fine with arranged marriage but when he was asked to go on an arranged date with Priyanka, he was quite reluctant! He said: "I was in London and she was in Florence with her family so my mom extracted a promise from me to meet her in Florence for a day."
"I told my mom that even if I liked her, I would date her for a year and then get engaged for another year and after that may get married, hoping that my mom would drop the idea hearing this. But she didn't. So I went to Florence and sat there being this difficult brat and waiting for this chore to be over and in walked Priyanka Alva wearing flats, white linen pants, easy top, hair open, no makeup and I was stumped. She was just so herself and so attractive. I told Priyanka that if I decided to get married to someone it would be her. We met on July 4, got engaged on Sep 7 and got married on Oct 29."
