9 Signs that you are highly intelligent!
A highly intelligent person is his own guru, master or idol. They may be inspired by work of others, but one thing they do know well is the fact that by working hard, expanding the horizons of their knowledge and searching for answers, they will be able to find all of the knowledge they seek on their own. So do you know anyone of your friends who is highly intelligent or do you want to check if you are?
Here are some signs characterizing highly intelligent people:
1. Socially awkward
One of the main struggles of being highly intelligent is learning how to behave in common social settings especially that people are quick to assume if somebody is socially awkward. Highly smart people start to overthink everything, from what topics they should bring up next to how people react to their conversation. This makes it impossible for them to relax and go with the flow.

2. Very critical
People who are very intelligent are usually very critical of themselves. They expect criticism from others most of the time, and when it comes to self-reflection, they are extra hard on themselves when acknowledging their own faults. They may beat themselves up over the littlest of things, but they always have the willingness to work on their internal struggles.
3. Difficulty in falling in love
Highly intelligent people find it extremely hard to fall in love with someone. They are very cautious and reserved when it comes to meeting new people, and they always think about the pros and cons in an analytical way that usually spells doom for their relationships. Because they are always overthinking situations which come across as being uninterested for their partner.

4. Always thinking
The brain of an intelligent person is never stagnant. They’re always thinking about solutions to problems and most of the time get lost inside their own head. To an outsider, an intelligent person appears to be quiet and introverted. That is only because they are busy dealing with constant thoughts that are flooding their minds.
5. Smart friends
They say that “Birds of a feather flock together” can’t be as true as it is in this situation. Highly intelligent people tend to hang out with people who are just as smart and creative as them. Clever people gravitate towards each other because they are able to relate on a deeper level. If your group of friends consists of the smartest people you know, there is a huge chance that you are highly intelligent too.

Many smart people don’t get all the credit they deserve. They are usually branded lazy as they take a little bit longer to spring into action. Why? They like to think things through before they start a new task or project. People, however, mistake this lack of action for laziness. There must be one person in the group that can think through all the possible situations and events, right?
7. Bored at work or school
Exceptionally smart people always crave for a challenge. The regular curriculum at school or projects at work isn't probably enough to keep them stimulated. The greater the challenge is, the more fulfilled they feel. If they somehow get stuck in a class or a job that is too easy for them to handle, they can become extremely bored and uninterested.

One of the major signs that you’re highly intelligent can be found in the way you approach life. People who are smart usually tend to be perfectionists. They are never truly satisfied with the way things are. For example, if they play a sport, they spend extra hours practicing to be the best player on the team and if they are unhappy with their appearance, they will go the extra mile to look their best and level up their grooming habits.
9. Small talk is boring
If you’ve ever met an exceptionally intelligent person, you may have noticed that they have struggled with engaging in simple conversations. An intelligent person has no need for chit chats or small talks about regular and mundane things, they would rather dig deep, talk about the universe, philosophy or art.
