Drop everything and go watch these 9 Bollywood movies!

Every year Bollywood gains a lot of successful movies; many of them performed greatly at the BoxOffice or they had a great storyline or even acting but some went unnoticed by the audience. Of course, this lists can be different for everybody, but we have so many movies to watch since 2017 ended. Let’s have a rating challenge for these movies as well. To help the rest of our reader, rate the movies that are on this list in the comment section out of 10 so that others can find out if watching it is worth it or not! Ready?!

Toilet: Ek Prem Katha is about "A woman leaves her husband on the first day of their marriage after discovering that he doesn't have a toilet. He desperately sets out on a mission to win back his love by standing up to the age-old traditions and values of India.". With ₹18 crore of the budget, the movie had an amazing gross ₹216.58 crore since 11th of August that it was released! This movie proved that no matter what, Akshay Kumar is always the winner of the BoxOffice. The movie was rated 7.5 out of 10 on IMDb.

2. Trapped

Trapped is such an impeccable work of art that at the Mumbai Film Festival it received the standing ovation by the audience after the ending of the movie. Rajkummar Rao ate only carrots and coffee during the process of filming the movie. Shaurya, played by Rajkummar Rao, is trying to escape from the arranged marriage with his girlfriend so he finds an apartment that is empty due to some legal issues. One day he accidentally locks himself in and the rest is for you to watch! The movie was rated 7.6 out of 10 on IMDb.

3. A Death in the Gunj

"A Death In The Gunj will make you drop your jaw several times, except for the one time you'd really want it to: the climax." written by Times of India. “A Death In The Gunj is a beautiful slice of a life cum thriller film, with a lesson. However, the film will not appeal to every kind of audience.” written by Koimoi! This movie that is about a university student who figures there is a price to pay for being nice and gentle on a trip with his self-involved relatives and family friends. The movie was rated 7.6 out of 10 on IMDb.

4. Mukti Bhawan

This movie is about a reluctant son who accompanies his severely sick father on a trip. The critic reviews on this movie were impressive as Empire said: "Filmed on a modest budget with a subtle sense of place and pace, this highly impressive debut considers mortality with a wry compassion that's rare for such a young director." and Times of India mentioned: "Rajiv accompanies his father to Mukti Bhawan, a temporary housing facility for the elderly who suspect that they will soon pass on.". The movie was rated 7.5 out of 10 on IMDb.

5. Newton

Newton, an Indian black comedy movie. Our famous Rajkummar Rao is playing the main role in this movie. This movie was selected for the Indian entry at Best Foreign Language Film. The storyline is about a rookie government clerk who has been sent on an election duty to control the conflict. The government clerk, played by Rajkummar Rao tries to run a free and fair election in a conflict area in central India. The movie was rated 8 out of 10 on IMDb which is higher than most of the movies on this list!

6. Hindi Medium

The poster of the movie reads like this, Cheating, lying. The parents who will do anything to get their children into the right school! The plot of the movie is about a couple who want to give their daughter the best education so she will be accepted by the elite. The movie brought so many controversies with itself due to the fact that there was a Pakistani actress playing opposite Irrfan Khan. And of course, the perfect acting of Irrfan Khan was the best thing that could happen to us in this year. The movie was rated 7.9 out of 10 on IMDb.

7. Shubh Mangal Saavdhan

This movie shocked everyone for the popularity it gained due to the storyline. Shubh Mangal Saavdhan is the remake of Kalyana Samayal Saadham. The plot is about a couple fall in love but then the groom discovers that he suffers from erectile dysfunction. The movie also has an unusual cast! Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar are playing the role of the couple. You will be surprised by the quality of the movie! The movie was rated 7.1 out of 10 on IMDb.

8. Bareilly Ki Barfi

Bareilly Ki Barfi is about the amusing Mishra family. The only 'life-loving' daughter of theirs - Bitti Mishra (Kriti Sanon) works at the electricity board, is a casual smoker, watches English movies and loves breakdance. Due to the pressure of getting married, impulsive Bitty decides to run away from home. At the railway bookstall, she stumbles upon a novel called 'Bareily Ki Barfi'. Surprisingly the female protagonist of the novel reads exactly like her and the rest of the story. The movie was rated 7.5 out of 10 on IMDb.

9. The Ghazi Attack

Times of India said: "This underwater thriller is worth a watch for sure. It leaves you in awe of the soldiers, who lay their lives for their country.". The film based on the mysterious sinking of PNS Ghazi during Indo-Pakistani War of 1971 is shot simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi and dubbed into Tamil. Starring Rana Daggubati, Taapsee Pannu, Kay Kay Menon and Atul Kulkarni. The film received positive reviews and it is the first Indian submarine film ever! After the release of this movie, everyone gained their faith in the Indian movie back. The movie was rated 7.7 out of 10 on IMDb.
