Only these 4 Bollywood actresses made it through 2017 with a pocket full of money!

Just going through the list of the most successful movies in 2017, you will see that this year was a huge success for Bollywood’s heroines! It may all have started from the movie Lipstick Under My Burkha to the latest one, Secret Superstar! Even though based on the studies that have been done, only 1 out of 10 women in Bollywood directors is a woman, and the fewer number of actresses we have in comparison to actors, they still managed to make this year their year of success with the girl power. How run the world?! GIRLS! Here is a list of the best moments of our Bollywood female stars.

1. Kangana Ranaut

And who is better to start of our list with than Kangana Ranaut?! Even though this year was full of controversies for her, movie-wise, she rocked everyone’s world including hers. Her impeccable performance was something that Bollywood lacked all this time and with Kangana Ranaut’s acting skills everything fell into its place. She started the year with the movie Rangoon which was released on 24th of February in which is played alongside Saif Ali Khan and Shahid Kapoor. She stole the show from both her male co-stars.

The Mumbai Mirror critic review, which was written about the movie Rangoon was almost solely on how great of an actor Kangana is! "Kangana is the undisputed hero here. She delivers her feisty masked onscreen avatar with just enough whip cracking and starry nakhras. She seduces the camera and each time she’s within a frame, it’s difficult to pay attention to anything or anyone else. Shahid, as the recluse soldier devoid of facial expressions, is committed to his role and delivers on expectations. Saif Ali Khan, who immaculately looks and talks the part — a pompous producer with an aristocratic manner — has only as much screen time to prove himself."

The next movie presented this year was, Simran that before the release of it, so many people thought of this to be another movie like the blockbuster Queen, but this one also did not go as well as predicted just like Rangoon. However, she again gave a jaw-dropping performance. Gulfnews.com’s review of the movie goes like this: "She makes robbing banks look like child’s play and is reckless at a casino, but Kangana Ranaut manages to inject a degree of adorability in Praful Patel, the flawed protagonist in her latest film, Simran. Credit has to be given to Ranaut for injecting verve into a character whose rebellion seems displaced."

Can you guess who the NEXT star is?!

2. Taapsee Pannu

After a great performance she gave in the movie Pink, Taapsee Pannu managed to pull off one of the most difficult roles ever. The role of a spy in the movie Naam Shabana. The movie seemed like a sole performance of Taapsee Pannu. Koimoi’s review says: "For most part of the film, you really miss Pandey’s witty writing that his previous films, A Wednesday and Special 26 were laden with. Shabana’s story is a half-hearted, forced attempt. Naam Shabana falls short of becoming a la Baby. A tepid script makes this film a strictly a average watch. Yet, for Taapsee’s effortless act a 2.5/5 for this!"

Business Standard’s review says: "It is quite difficult to not compare Naam Shabana with Baby. While the latter had some moments which served as the highlight, there is no such scene in the former that bowls one over. The climax is nothing but predictable. It becomes quite a pain to wait for the end to near as the usual brawls keep occurring. Nonetheless, Taapsee makes up for many of the missing elements. Akshay, however, adds the zing in the dull plot."
After going through all these, the movie is definitely a must watch on our list we do not know about yours!

3. Vidya Balan

Vidya Balan also had one of the most anticipated movies of 2017 released called Tumhari Sulu. just like her any other performances, this one also gave everyone chills, made us believe that there is no death of career after marriage, only huge success! Reuters’s review says: "If this film has a beating heart, it is Vidya Balan. She is in every scene and lights it up with her sheer screen presence. This is an author-backed role, but she makes it so much more by adding layers of empathy and vulnerability to make Sulu a character that will stay with you long after you have left the theatre."

Filmfare’s review says: "This film is adept with its humour, Vidya Balan adds a wealth of charm to proceedings and effortlessly overshadows the minor flaws in the drama. Much like it's central character, Tumhari Sulu steers clear of serious drama and stays light-hearted and fun. Vidya Balan’s phenomenal performance makes this film a thorough delight. Even when the story gets predictable, Vidya sneaks in her fun-filled Virar twang to spice things up. Vidya Balan's zany laughter keeps the mood light and that's what makes this film perfectly feel-good and breezy."

4. Zaira Wasim

Zaira Wasim was the protagonist in the movie Secret Superstar and Aamir Khan believes she is the best actress in the movie industry! What else do you need more than the approval of Bollywood’s Mr. perfectionist?! This movie was critics favorite movie of 2017! Filmfare’s review says: "The way young Zaira Wasim comes into the element of her character during Nachdi phiran is phenomenal. If you thought this girl showed a spark in Dangal, with Secret Superstar she sets the stage on fire. This is her film. Her smile, her frustration, her nuances of a singer on a mike are genuine and authentic. She’s definitely one for the future."

Reuters’s review says: "Aamir Khan appears as Shakti Kumarr, the rather obnoxious and self-obsessed music director who turns into an unlikely saviour for Insiya, but this film is not about him. It is about Insiya, and Zaira Wasim puts in an inspired performance that rides over the several bumps in the script. She shares a wonderful chemistry with Meher Vij, who plays Najma, and the two of them are the life of "Secret Superstar"."
Now, we think it is safe to say that 2017, was the year of lady’s power in Bollywood, don’t you agree?!
