Whenever we face a problem, we start thinking about all the ways that we know to cure that illness or problem. As the science develops, things that worked before may not work any longer and in order to keep your body healthy, you need to make sure that the remedy you are going with is exactly what your body needs with as little side effect as possible. 1. 9 Month pregnancy
Before everyone was waiting for that 40 weeks to pass so that they could go to the hospital and get ready for the delivery even if they had the contractions! They would pretend like this is not the time yet but nowadays, things have changed big time. According to the latest research on recent pregnancies, now, only 5% of the babies are born on the same exact date that is given by the doctor! We even have kids popping out right after 6 months!

2. Overweight is unhealthy
Seems like this is one of the matters that scientists cannot agree on whether it is healthy or unhealthy! The word that everyone associated with obesity is always suffering! They always think of someone who is overweight as someone who is suffering from a medical condition but according to the new studies done by Dr. Steven N. Blair the death rate of a person who is overweight and exercises regularly is lower than a person with normal weight! You can no longer call your overweight friends unhealthy.
3. Too much salt is not good
You have always heard that too much salt is terrible for you and your parents were always trying to keep you away from the salt shaker hiding it anywhere possible for you not to reach it. It is always said that to have a healthy life, you need to remove salt from your diet completely but the studies lately have something else to say about this! It has been discovered lately that there are some major health benefits in an increased amount of salt intake! It can help you with the risk of diabetes.

4. Organic food is free of pesticides
We always think that the organic food comes with a higher nutrition value and we have always been told that it is always better to go for the organic version rather than the other ones. Even the prices of the products indicate the same belief, however, seems like things are not just as you believe or have been told or believe. Approved by US Organic Standards, 20 chemicals are allowed to be used in organic food! All you can do now is to go straight to the farm!
5. Honey is better than sugar
This is also one of the products that we believe is the healthiest as we even use it in our tea when we are sick but there are some things about it that you may not know! Ian Marber, the nutritional therapist says: "There's an idea that sugar is a pantomime villain and honey is the pantomime hero. It's not accurate. Loading honey into a bowl of porridge or breakfast cereal isn't much better for our bodies than layering that cereal up with granulated sugar. 'Honey is slightly lower on the glycaemic index (GI) than sugar (so it is absorbed into the body at a slightly slower rate)."

6. Eating gives you a night vision
Eating carrot has always been something that we had in our diet from the time we were little kids and even looking at fancy healthy dishes, you can easily spot them. It is known as the healthiest food possible and also people believe that it helps you with your night vision which is nothing but a myth! During World War II, the carrots were hidden because they believe that they give this supernatural vision to pilots but the only thing it contains is vitamin A! Nothing changed in your vision at night!
7. 10% of the brain is used
This is a phrase that you hear all the time especially from the people who claim to be intelligent. They always go like, ‘We use only 10% of our minds, imagine if we could use the whole capacity!’. Well. we are here to tell you that this is not accurate. Many types of research have proven that during your life, your whole brain is active! 10% of your brain cannot easily handle the whole function that your entire body needs to stay alive!

8. Eating at night will make you fat
"It does not matter what time of day you eat. It is what and how much you eat and how much physical activity you do during the whole day that determines whether you gain, lose, or maintain your weight." this line is stated in the US Department of Agriculture’s Weight Control Information Network website. This, however, does not mean that you can easily go ahead and eat the whole time! You need to know that exercise is a necessity and alongside that, you can keep eating whenever you need.
9. Microwaves can give you cancer
According to Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Agency, microwaves do not make the food radioactive! Cancercouncil.com says: "Microwave ovens heat food by producing radiation which is absorbed by water molecules in the food. This makes the water molecules vibrate and produce heat, which cooks the food. Microwaves heat food. They do not make any changes to food that aren’t made in any other cooking method. So they do not make food any more likely to cause cancer."
