8 Things that can help when the routine creeps in your relationship
The beginning of the relationship is the most emotional time. First, we try hard to impress this person and make them interested in us. We also learn about our habits, bad sides and get used to each other. However, after a few years, we know about each other's everything so monotony and routine are just inevitable. We get up, prepare breakfast and rush to work. If there are also children that means more obligations and less time for your partner. Your husband watches a football match and lies with a beer in his hand, you wash the dishes, do the laundry. Life goes on this way but then you start complaining that your partner doesn’t love you anymore. How to solve this problem?
1. Sacred time
To enliven your relationship doesn’t mean huge efforts to make. The basic rule is to do as many things as possible together. If you both work and come back home totally tired, that’s not the excuse to be happier with each other. You can still find some time that will be ‘sacred’ and spent together. It can be even scheduled at a particular time, no matter how pressing other obligations are. Take your partner to the restaurant when you had your first dates and recall your mutual memories. You can even choose the same table and order similar food. And why not to talk about your first awkward dates and laugh at them? That will make you much closer.

2. Sweet nothings
Are you bored or tired at work and suddenly your partner texts you something? It is so nice to see some tender, loving message. If you have some time for texting, then you can also flirt with each other and fire your imagination about the evening when you come back home. Treat it as a foreplay and you will miss him and look forward to your meeting after work. Such flirtations are much better than a message such as ‘What will we have for dinner tonight’ or ‘Will you buy milk?’
Small and surprising gifts are also a good idea. You just need to listen to each other and know your preferences as regards to the things you would like to eat or buy. They don’t have to cost lots of money. Any pleasant surprise is welcome if you want to see your partner's happy face. Maybe he likes that popular rock band that has just released a new album or she dreams about that black evening dress that would be great for your date? You don’t need a special occasion to give your partner such a gift.

Make time for some weekend trip! You probably dreamt about visiting some town where there are lots of attractions or things you really wanted to try together and talked about them many times. Sometimes it can be really close to the place where you live. What about thermal baths, spa, climbing a mountain or just long walks? It can be only you two or children too and even your close couple friends. Just do it and don’t make excuses that the weather is not fine and you will freeze...
The rut crept into your bed? That’s a sign you need some changes. Throw away your childish pajamas and buy se*y lingerie. You can make love at different times of the day and… in different places. Well, that changing room is good enough, right? Why not buying some playful gadgets (watch Fifty Shades of Grey for some inspiration!) and create some adult games? Let your imagination and fantasies lead your relationship much more often!

Well, not for real but just for a few days. Take your friends and go to the spa or some country where you can have lots of fun and...leave your partner at home. You can also invest in some training camp that you have planned for many years. Such separation will help you to reflect on your relationship, draw some conclusions and of course miss your loved one. That will for sure renew your relationship and help you appreciate your partner's assets.
7. Common passions, common goals
Have you noticed that you have fewer topics you can talk about? There is a solution to this. Just share some passion! What about signing for a cookery or dance course? Or running in the park every morning? Such thing will also include lots of unexpected experiences, blunders and new knowledge that will give you many additional topics to discuss. You can also find a goal that you want to achieve together. Maybe going on a diet? You will celebrate every small success and cheer for your partner’s efforts. That definitely creates a stronger relationship bond.

Do you frown when you see your partner in his old, ragged T-shirt? Is your girlfriend constantly wearing shapeless, long dresses? You are both to blame! Do you really think it’s attractive? Well, nobody encourages you to wear a naughty French maid’s outfit like that from films for adults to turn your partner on. But why not buying something both comfortable and se*y? Maybe you can change your hairstyle and shave that big beard (unless she likes it)? Discuss your preferences and why you could make your partner happy only by slightly changing your appearance.
Don’t do that!
What’s definitely not a good solution when the rut creeps in? Betraying your partner. You may have the pleasure and be content with your new lover but did you think about your boyfriend and how he would feel? If he finds out the truth, he will be totally depressed and heartbroken. Sometimes love just fades, no matter how hard you try to save it. If so, it’s better to say goodbye and thanks for all the moments spent together than cheat on them and hurt badly.
