1. Amar Bharati
Amar Bharati comes from India and once upon a time, he led a normal life. He had a wife, children, and a job. Then he abandoned everything to serve God and become an ascetic. He concentrated on his spiritual development. But it’s not the thing that made him so famous. After another 3 years, he made a shocking decision. The man decided to sacrifice his arm and prove that his belief is stronger than anything else. He rose his right arm and...never dropped it. He has been holding it this way since 1973. However, he is not able to move the limb as he suffers amyotrophy. His arm looks gaunt as if it’s not alive. For many people, he became a symbol of true belief.

2. Mehran Karimi Nasseri
Mehran Karimi Nasseri is an Iranian refugee who was living at the Charles de Gaulle Airport for 18 years. He was denied to enter the territory of the United Kingdom as he didn’t have a passport and UNO certificate claiming that he is a refugee. On the other hand, French authorities didn’t allow him to leave the airport. So he lived there until 2006 when he was taken to a hospital. His autobiography was an inspiration for Steven Spielberg who directed the film ‘The Terminal’ in 2006. Mehran received $275 000 for his film rights.
3. Lal Bihari Mritak
Lal Bihari Mritak is a farmer who was born in India in 1961. Between 1976 and 1994 he was officially declared dead by Indian authorities. He realized that fact when tried to get a loan from the bank. The clerk was confused and refused to grant him a loan as according to the records he was not alive. The farmer was fighting with Indian bureaucracy for 18 years until he managed to persuade authorities that it had been a huge mistake. He also started the Association of Dead People to support those who are in a similar situation.

4. Michel Lotito
Michel Lotito came from Grenoble and worked in the entertainment industry, but his shows were always incredible! During his performance, he was eating metal, rubber, and glass. He also consumed whole bikes! He even undertook to eat a Cessna 150 plane! That took him two years. Doctors regularly examined the man, and it turned out that things which were poisonous to normal people were totally neutral to this man. He claimed that a banana or an egg may be more dangerous for him than a spoke! The man died at age 57 for natural reasons.
5. Sanju Bhagat
Sanju Bhagat comes from Nagpur, a small town in India. He suffered from a very rare anomaly called fetus in fetu. It means that a fetus shaped mass exists in your body! Doctors usually discover it at a very early stage, but it was different in the case of Sanju Bhagat. He was living with his brother until the age of 36! He was admitted to the hospital in 1999 when he had problems with breathing. Judging by his look, doctors thought that he had cancer, but it turned out he was carrying a mutated male body of his twin brother!

Thai Ngoc is a Vietnamese who claims that he hasn’t slept for more than 44 years! He says that his problems with insomnia started in 1973 when he came down with a serious illness and was lying with fever for a long time. He reveals that insomnia doesn’t affect his life as he is still active, vital and can work a lot in his household. His wife says that when she met him, Thai didn’t have these problems. But now, even drinking some warming substances for adults cannot make him sleep.

Daniel Tammet was born as one of nine children in a somewhat low-income family. As his parents claim, he was uneasy and cried a lot as a child. 8. Wim Hof
Are you shaking and grating your teeth when it’s just -5°C? Wim Hof can sit naked for two hours when it’s very very cold outside. He claims that he achieved that after reaching Kilimanjaro (only in shorts) and running a marathon in the desert without even a drop of water. He can run on the ice wearing just shorts or sit in a bucket full of ice and crack jokes at the same time! When people ask him how to do this, he says that you need to take control of your mind over your body. On 30th August 2007 in Malaysia, Rathakrishnan Velu broke his own world record in pulling a train that weighed 260,8t. And he did that by using his...teeth! The distance at which the train moved was 4,2 m. The man claims that concentration techniques that some Indian guru taught him are his best methods to achieve this.
