8 Ways to look more PHOTOGENIC in photos
Are you among those who do not like when people take pictures of you because you think you do not look good in them? Are you jealous when you see photos of your friends? You look in the mirror and you find that you look pretty good, but in the picture, your image is always different. So what is it about? Why is this happening? Well, the camera always captures the smallest details. And it's not that what you see in the mirror is not really what you see. It all depends on the camera's setting, on the light, on the angle at which the picture is taken. So there are a few things you can do to make your photos appear nicer. Read the article below and you will get to know them.
What does it mean to be photogenic?
Being photogenic refers to the fact that someone was born with a natural gift of beneficial looking in the pictures. It's important to remember that people who are naturally nice or handsome will not always look the same in the same way because they are simply not photogenic. Being photogenic is the awareness of yourself and how to set yourself in front of the camera lens. So there are techniques that tell us how to set ourselves in front of the lens to get the most out of the picture. The most important thing is the light, the right background, camera position and good outside.

You must learn how to change your state of well-being. Even if you are very tired, bored or angry in a fraction of a second you have to look as if you are happy and in a good mood. To achieve this, it is best to remember something nice - the mere memory will make us look better. Remember that it is not enough to just smile. If you forcing your smile, then it will come out in the picture. With a real smile, the eyes are more narrowed, delicate wrinkles appear and the eyelid line goes up slightly.
2. Do not close your eyes
Try not to blink or close your eyes during the flash or immediately after. Closing the eyes is a bad habit that has a decisive effect on how we look in the pictures. Also, try not to blink or close your eyes. They are the mirror of the soul so the wider you open them the better (exercise in front of the mirror before you do not overdo it). Practice makes master - remember!

3. Set the right angle
In fact, models' pictures, their facial expressions, are rarely accidental. Each model knows exactly which side they look better with, what setting gives them what they want to achieve. You can do it too. Find your best angle where your face looks best. It requires taking a dozen, a few dozen or even several hundred photos, but isn't it worth it? The classic position of the model is the body position on the ¾ towards the camera, one foot is ahead of the other, similarly with the arms - one is more forward.
4. Show your better profile
The human face is not perfectly symmetrical. Therefore, when posing the photographer you turn your head slightly to the side, make sure that the camera captures your better profile. The perfect profile is the angle between your face and the camera lens, thanks to which you get a better picture. To find it, ask a friend (or use the self-timer) to take you some photos - once on the right, once on the left. Then, rate on which of the photos you look best.

The more freely you feel, the better the effect will be in the picture. Do not try to smile artificially. It will end with the fact that in every picture you will look the same. Do not hold your breath and do not focus on it. If, at the last moment, you noticed that someone is approaching the camera - do not panic. Just make a funny face or pose. Or try to keep doing what you are doing and ignore the camera. It may not be perfect, but it will not be artificial.
6. Do not look straight ahead into lens
When posing do not look straight into the camera lens. For the photos to be perfect, extend your head slightly forward and lift your chin slightly (avoiding the double chin effect in this way). Look at the angle, preferably slightly upwards. Thanks to these tricks, your face in the picture will appear slimmer and the features will be more pronounced. This principle works well in another case - when you look straight to the lens, a sudden flash blinds you. In a natural reflex, you blink and in the picture with closed eyelids, you look like Sleeping Beauty.
Your posture is also important. Check it on the NEXT page!
7. Focus on your posture
This is important not only when it comes to photos. A properly raised silhouette will look nice wherever you appear. A good posture will immediately change the look of the photo. Remember that - regardless of whether you are sitting or standing - have your back straight and your shoulders tilted back - it will naturally extend the neck. If you want, practice in front of the mirror.
8. Work out your smile
You probably noticed that celebrities on the red carpet always smile the same way and pose in a similar way. It's not a coincidence. They just found a pose that suits them and a smile that is recognizable, reveals a fashion and beauty expert, she was a Tiffany Hendra model. Take a few photos with your phone. Change your face and smile every time, until you find what suits you best. Practice makes perfect, right?
