Swedish model with 3.5 foot, SUPER LONG, legs

Beauty is yet to be defined by people and the latest runways these days but is that the real definition of beauty? Is this even your definition of beauty? Someone slim and slender is considered to be a model!? Someone young who has a perfect skin, long beautiful hair, or short beautiful ones, body with enough curves,... that is what the media has presented as beauty. The concept has been manipulated and controlled for many years. However, recently, the whole concept has changed and so many boundary-breaking models have entered the fashion industry and have altered the concept of beauty to make it more realistic.

The Swedish model, La Östergren is the new definition of the beauty. She, just like so many of the teenagers today was the target of bullies back when she was younger but now she has proven that those bullies mean nothing by her 222k followers. This lady is a beauty! Her Instagram page is a great inspiration for the fitness and positive self-image. The mother of two says: "How people treat you is their karma. How you react is yours. Be a flamingo in a flock of pigeons" and to "stop competing with others, start competing with yourself."

"I received ~700 comments telling me that I look like an alien and that my legs are photoshopped. We all come in different shapes, sizes and proportions; my body has been, and still is, a problem for some people. It’s our psychology to be afraid of something unusual, but remember to keep opinions that might discourage, discredit or insult someone to yourself. I love my body."
This beauty is not the only person who has been spreading positivity toward body image. Today we will introduce you to some more!

For those teenagers that spent all their teenage years trying to level with these beauty gurus and failed now is the time to change your role model. It is never too late! From the models with skin conditions to the plus size models, it seems like the concept of beauty is evolving to a more mature, real-lifelike concept. Ashley Graham is a perfect example of this new beauty wave. Ashley is a plus-size model who has never been ashamed of the way her body looks. She has always embraced and loved her figure and now she is spreading the same vibe through the world.

She is a fashion designer. She designed a lingerie line for Addition Elle, a Canadian plus-size clothing retailer. With her dazzling look, Ashley became the first plus-size model landed on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. With her enormous success, she has now become a promoter of body confidence at all sizes. But she is not the only extraordinary one.
A 21-year-old Canadian model Winnie Harlow with her rare skin condition has been taking over the world as well.

Winnie has struggled with her rare skin disease called Vitiligo, a long-term skin condition characterized by patches of the skin losing their pigment, for most of her life. She was teased and called names at school but nothing stopped this beauty queen from following her dream. By the age of 21, she was on America’s "Next Top Model’s front campaigns for Diesel’, worked with Nick Knight, and a lot more. She claimed: "I am happy with my skin, and I’m proud of my skin, which is why I wear it so boldly."

"But if a job wanted me to, say, try a smoky eye and cover the vitiligo around my eye, I wouldn’t have a problem with that. I’m not my skin. I think people put too much into it." "If someone freaks out because they covered the colour of my eye with makeup, it’s like, "Yeah, they also put red nail polish on me and purple lipstick. My lips are not naturally purple." They did alter it, but it’s not that big of a deal. It’s literally just a job." She was confirmed to be Desigual’s official brand ambassador.

Desigual said in a statement about Harlow's new role as brand ambassador "Chantelle perfectly embodies the spirit, values, and attitude that have always characterized the company. She's a model who breaks the established conventions and canons, She is a pure inspiration, a whirlwind of positive energy, an example of strength and achievement, who demonstrates that we are all special and can achieve what we set out to do."

NEXT model will surprise all of you!

32-year-old Jamie Brewer has taken the definition of beauty to a new level. It can be excruciating for an individual with Down syndrome to follow her dream to the extent that she wishes to, but Jamie made it happen. She is the first model ever with Down syndrome to walk in New York Fashion Week. When designer Carrie Hammer was invited to show her line at Fashion Week, she decided to use clients rather than actual models on the runway and Jamie was one of the new models that walked the runway on that show!

"It exceeded all of my expectations, What I love about our shows everyone is smiling, everyone is having a good time." Hammer though that Grace would be a great model for people with her light and enthusiasm.
People every day are trying very hard to erase the previous image of beauty and create a new concept! Let’s hope for the day that everyone fits this concept.
