Kit Harington and Rose Leslie have finally tied the knot!
All fans of "Game of Thrones" must be really excited! First, it turned out that Jon Snow and Ygritte, "Game of Thrones" characters, love each other not only in the series. Then their fans celebrated their engagement. Now finally they tied the knot! On 23rd of July, the actors got married in a Scottish castle. Let’s see beautiful photos from the wedding. They look like made in a fairy tale...
How did they meet?
In one of the interviews, Kit Harington admitted that it was quite easy for him and Rose to fall in love with each other. After all, they played lovers in the series! They met in 2012, however, the breakthrough came when they were filming scenes for the second season on beautiful Iceland. The scenery was so fabulous and the views amazing that it really helped them to fall in love! People gossiped about their affair for a long time but they confirmed the news only in 2016.

When did they get engaged?
The couple got engaged in September 2017. According to The Sun’s source "Kit’s known for ages, he’s wanted to marry Rose but he wanted them to get a house and settle down a bit first. After moving in together in January he felt it was the right time to take the next step." They kept their love in secret for four years, making it public last year. After the news was acknowledged, the engagement was announced in… a newspaper!
The add in The Times newspaper said: "The engagement is announced between Kit, younger son of David and Deborah Harington of Worcestershire, and Rose, the middle daughter of Sebastian and Candy Leslie of Aberdeenshire." In one of the interviews, Kit confessed in what way he proposed to Rose “I did have some plans to do it, I was going to string up some lights in some trees and do all the romantic stuff." He admitted that he didn’t do it as he planned but Rose said "Yes" anyway.

But well, then he had to contact the producer and announce this news... "I rang up and I said, ‘I’m getting married and it’s your fault actually' . . . . I was like, 'You need to factor in a Game of Thrones wedding by the way.' They [The cast] have all got to be there so the whole thing has got to shut down.". Well, if the whole cast was supposed to attend the wedding then there was a risk of the season’s shooting delay… But your best moments of life are always worth it, aren’t they?
When did they get married?
The stars got married on June 23, 2018, in a fabulous castle in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Yes, they got married in a real castle! And it was actually Leslie’s hometown and the reception took place on her family’s premises which actually includes Wardhill castle. The "Game of Thrones" couple was smiling all the time. It’s pure pleasure to see them so happy in the pictures.

The actors invited about 200 guests. Emilia Clarke, Peter Dinklage and Sophie Turner who also play in "The Game of Thrones" were obviously invited. But the list doesn’t only include their colleagues from the series. An actress Malin Akerman, Mumford & Sons singer- Marcus Mumford also appeared. One of the first guests who arrived was actor Peter Dinklage. He was caught blowing a kiss to the crowd when he appeared in the churchyard.
Also, the happy couple invited Maisie Williams (playing Arya Stark), Kit’s sister from the series and John Bradley-West (playing Samwell Tarly). And the list still goes on with Liam Cunningham (playing Davos Seaworth), Gemma Whelan (playing Yara Greyjoy), Liam Cunningham (playing Davos Seaworth) and Ben Crompton (playing Eddison Tollett). That was a really big and spectacular event!

After the wedding, the bagpipes started to play and the newlyweds emerged from the church. Immediately they were showered with confetti by their wedding guests. Later they walked around the church embracing and smiling at the guests before driving off in a blue Land Rover Defender. They headed for the wedding breakfast in the castle.
