A child stands for his school picture. 30 years later, the teacher sees the photo and notices THIS
School teachers are those that we remember best. Especially those from preschool education. They were the first women, just after our mothers, who took care of us and taught us the mysteries of life. They were so close to us for those first few years, and therefore remain in our memories for many, many years.
The school adventure of Lorly Schik began in 1940. It was then when she began her career at school in Minnesota. She was considered a great teacher and played an important role in the lives of her students.
One of the students remembers her with these words: "You remember forever your preschool teachers. My favorite was Mrs. Schik. She was the best. But she retired the following year, so I could no longer see her in school. "
What happens later is very impressive.
Mrs. Schik retired in 1989. However, the passage of time didn’t impair her memory. She remembered each of her students! Just when the woman was going to celebrate her retirement and make a great trip with her husband across the country, he died. It was a very hard time for her but she had to move on. When Mrs. Schik reached 90 years old, she faced another challenge. The woman had to leave her home and move to a nursing home.
One day, Mrs. Schik decided to turn on TV a local channel KARE 11 Sunrise. A few seconds later, she spotted something completely unexpected.
She recognized one of the presenters as her old student! It was amazing! Since that time, Mrs. Schik always tuned on the same channel because that allowed her to remember those happy years and gave a lot of joy, mixed with a small drop of nostalgia. After some time, Mrs. Schik decided to write a letter to her former student ...a very special letter.
The letter said: "Hi, Diane and Terry. It is with a great pride that I now see my former student presents news in Kare 11. I can still see him as a small dark-haired boy at his desk." Lorly words were undoubtedly very touching for her pupil. The letter ended with the words: "Give Cory my regards and tell him that his teacher is now 90 years old, enjoys watching his program and wishes him, and you, the very best."
When this young man read the letter, he just had to sent the card back to his preschool teacher. He felt that he wants to tell his beloved teacher how much she and her note meant to him. He really wanted to see her again.
He found the nursing home where she was and went there as fast as he could. The meeting was very exciting for both of them
They spent a lot of time reminiscing pleasant moments. The teacher had such a good memory and remembered even what someone did many years ago on one of the photographs.
He asked her how she recognized him after so many years. Mrs. Schik replied that each of her students had a special feature and that’s what helped her.
We wish everyone can relive such moments with their favorite teachers!
